Grainger Timber Frames built a practical Timber Frame House with comfortable living space.

Timber Frame House
Grainger Builders were employed to undertake a major renovation to this property in 2012.

Renovation & Extension
Grainger Builders were employed to form a tea rooms following the erection of a timber portal frame. This involved all internal finishing, a cedar shingle roof, kitchen, toilet, plumbing and electrics.

Thorp Perrow Tea Rooms
Grainger Builders were employed to build a new first floor extension over an already existing office. The work commenced in January and tented scaffolding was erected to ensure no disruption to the building works during the harshest of the winter months.

Commercial Offices
This was a traditionally built house, complicated by the fact that it was on a sloping clay site. Some of the foundations were 2.4m deep to compensate for some huge Turkey Oaks which sap moisture from the ground.

Traditional Build
Grainger Timber Frames were employed to construct this 4 bedroom house - double and single storey, 2nd build for the customer.
This large 4 bedroom house fits in well with the surrounding village properties. The facing bricks (Chatsworth Antique) were chosen to be more in keeping with reclaimed bricks. Grainger Builders were contracted to the project from dig to decorate.
Traditional Block and Brick Build
This very large timber frame bungalow was constructed on a concrete raft foundation. Over the years the site had been built up with brick rubble which meant a dig down to 1500mm to find good bearing ground.
The customer opted for timber frame because of the speed of build and low heating costs.
Large Timber Frame Bungalow
Grainger Builders constructed three bespoke timber frame log cabins, using spruce half round logs for the outer cladding. The project was completed from dig to decorating.
